Come Out, Come Out!

Unlike Matt Walsh, I have no plans to write a homophobic rant against Michael Sam. No plans whatsoever.

No plans. None, nada, zip.

I don’t really care what this individual does in the privacy of his bedroom. I don’t even care if he decides to carry on his private actions all over the kitchen table … as long as it’s not my kitchen table!

I didn’t care to know about Michael Sam … nor Robin Roberts … nor Ellen Page … nor Anderson Cooper … nor anyone else who has made the very public pronouncement of their very private behavior for all of the world to know.

Actually, I think I’ve come to understand that every single person on earth who is not “in the closet” (as it were) should probably “come out” NOW … because isn’t it patently obvious you’re not facing the TRUTH?!!!?

Truth is, I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really DON’T CARE!

But, because I couldn’t have expressed my thoughts any better than Matt Walsh did, I settled on verse.

Michael Sam, coming out, closet, green eggs and ham, free to be, light verse, poetry, poem
Poem: Free To Be … Me!

  1. Renee, I couldn’t agree with you any more if I tried! Also, something very important! How do you get that “asterisk” over the “e” in your name?

    Your forever friend,

    1. Sherron, thanks for your comment. As for the accented “e” which my French teacher (in sixth grade) insisted I must always use, I insert it from the “Glyphs” menu in Adobe apps, or from the “Insert/Symbol/Advanced Symbol” menu in MS Office apps. If you just use your keyboard, you can sometimes hold down the Alt key while typing in 0233 on your number pad. (That doesn’t always work though.) On an iPad touch-screen, if you hold down on the “e,” alternate characters display with the accented “e” being one of the choices. Ha! As you can see, I’ve used many different options … but yes, I am obsessive about obeying my French teacher’s instructions!
