Audience of One

A departure today from Christmas musings … I’ll return to that tomorrow.

When you share a bed with someone, sooner or later there’s going to be one or the other of you who snores. I was thinking about this today and recalled a silly poem I’d written. As I’ve said before, when I’m unable to change circumstances, I often turn to verse!

Midnite-Musing, snore, snoring, solutions for snoring, earplugs, bedtime, light verse, poetry, poem
Poem: Midnight Musing

And here’s a bit of disclaimer:  I hate pointing fingers at anyone. My Beloved doesn’t always snore … and even though I’d rather not admit it, I’ve been told I occasionally snore as well.

  1. Renée! – I didn’t know there were others with the same facility as I to compose doggerel! 🙂 My beloved was wont to snore, and I simply told him to turn over. Always worked. And also like you, I found that I could wake myself up by snoring … Now he’s gone, I believe I probably snore like billy-oh, but don’t wake up because I know I’m not disturbing anyone. It’s not part of ageing; just part of … life.

    1. You made me laugh! (I assure you, I have much more doggerel where that came from!) Yes, I remind myself the time may one day come (we’ll be married 44 years tomorrow) that missing his night-time rumbles is a possibility. That makes me much more mellow than when I initially wrote the poem. Thanks for staying in touch!
