Heaven’s Gift

There is no other reason for the season. The arrival (first Advent) of God’s only begotten Son, the Baby born to Mary and Joseph, was a singular event. Several blog posts I read today urged readers to set some time apart during the chaotic activities that will likely fill our next six days and meditate in quietness at the miracle of God stepping into Time for us.

There’s a beautiful piece I recommend for you. It’s called Final Moments and it thoughtfully provides a perspective of Christmas that will linger in your memory long after you’ve read it. Please be sure to enjoy it!

My sonnet Advent doesn’t cover any “new ground” in the extensive Christmas catalog, but is a simple retelling of events to distill the truth, beauty, and goodness embodied in the One who came to die.

Soli Deo gloria!
